FENCING WIN NATIONAL TITLE
“Local fencing contractors
travelled to Warwickshire to compete against the best fence erectors in
England and Wales.
Keith Wells,
Richard Wells and Cecil Walker had already beaten teams at the Lancashire
and Northern Counties qualifiers to claim their place in the national
final.
Competitors
were required to erect 10 metres of post and stock netting fencing and
hang a 10-foot gate using only hand tools.
Keith Wells
of Wells Fencing, Clitheroe explained: “It was a real challenge to dig in
the strainer posts by hand, to cut and join the netting and to produce a
competition standard fence within the time-frame.”
Out of 10
finalists, Wells Fencing took third prize, a fantastic achievement.”
